Duy the Chef: It is not worth living in Paris anymore.

When we mentioned Paris, all of us will think about this city as the capital of fashion, beautiful sight- seeings; hospitality and friendly people... But Paris was not that heavenly these days. Three days ago, I visited Paris with my family for a winter break. I was so disgusted when I first went into a subway station. The horrible smells of urine and feces tortured my nose, trashes were seen everywhere...

Trashes were seen everywhere

I felt so betrayed from those "sweet and lovely" advertisement on the websites of many travel agencies. But that was not  my only nightmare, the terrible thing that haunted Paris in past three weeks was "Yellow Vest movement".

Protests have been spreading  all over the country.  I saw tear gas and I heard shattered noises everywhere. Many cars were burnt. The  windows of shops and cafes were broken. Panic tearful faces appeared on the televisions.

Violent clashes

According to the news, the demonstration started since   the increase of the fuel tax and the reduction of wealth tax stirred the anger among groups of people from the far-left and the far-right wings. Current French government did not care about the low class people, like drivers who didn't have money enough to get by in the context of inflation. Essential stuffs became more and more expensive and the poor people  could not afford them. Now, the fuel tax is about to go up, they can't afford to buy gas for their cars. So they can not go to work .  If this situation still continues, I think the city of Paris, or even France in general, could become  a big mess and it is not worth living there anymore.
