Dylan the Chef: I am an Asian boy and I am very proud of my tiny eyes and my flat nose!

I have recently watched the Victoria Secret Show 2018 and I was so surprised when I saw the models's bodies. They were too thin. These skinny ladies made me wonder what did they do with their body fat?

I think this show is important for promoting the perfect ratio women's facial and body shapes in correlation with their weights.

I guess it is okay if you have all of these standard body measurements, but what happens to someone who does not?

It may damage your self-confidence.  You may become obsessed of pursuing an unbalanced body measurements. This problem was rooted from heavily commercialized images of perfect women by the media and the beauty industry.

Nowadays,  I  consider beauty standards have a great impacts  on the lives of women all over the world.  I doubt about the necessity of standardizing beauty.

You may think you are ugly if you do not satisfy some widely-accepted qualities. Comparative evaluations possibly lead to the massive copying of the faces of global celebrities. Particularly,in Vietnam, I saw with my naked eyes too many wrong versions of Korean super stars on the street.

It's nothing wrong if you want to be beautiful. However, if you try to imitate the others, you will sacrifice your unique beauty. I am an Asian boy and I am very proud of my tiny eyes and my flat nose because I got these traits from my own parents. It is absurd to deny your origin or to be ashamed of who you really are.

Therefore, it would be alright even if  you are born with  yellow skin, short height, and black hair.  If you look a  little  chubby, please do not torture yourself all day at the gym or do extreme fasting until you look like a starving zombie.  If you legs are no long enough, please do not extend them via painful bone operation.

Weird methods of weight loss may have bad effects on your mental health. You may be very stressful. In my opinion,  this is not healthy.

On the other hand, for people who really care about their appearance and beauty, beauty standards should not stop you from being who you are. To conclude, I think it is not good at all to standardize human measurements for any purposes.
