Essay by Michelle: Be strong and confident, prove to them how good you are.
Hi Helena,
I'm Michelle. I have recently read your story.
I am 13 years old. I am the eldest sister in my family so I can understand the pressure that you are experiencing. My parents also expect me to excel a lot of things. They want me to make their
unfulfilled dreams come true such as being an amateur pianist. My parents always want me to study well and get top scores in every exams. But I proved to my parents that scores do not mean everything and I need to learn what I love by showing them the film about the modern education. Now my parents think differently.
Moreover, in my opinion, repeating 11th grade is nothing to be ashamed of. The shameful thing is to slander others. I always remind myself of this quote: "Never mind the bad guy behind you. Because their place is there, forever behind you".
Be strong and confident, prove to them how good you are.
Michelle
